Colorful yarn octupi
Here is a fun project for children 6years old and up. All you need is a tennis ball, a skein of yearn and elastics to tie off the braids. Wrap the yarn around a peice of cardboard about 20inches in length.
Then remove the yarn from the cardboard and insert the tennis ball. Tie off the tennis ball and seperate the yarn into 8 "legs". Braid the legs and tie off the braid ends with elastics. Then add bows and a face to finish. My granddaughters loved making these, they can be any color and give the kids a real sense of accomplishment, plus, they are fun and funny to make!!!

Holiday chickadee
my felt holiday chickadee, just like the black-capped birds that come to my window!
Here are a few more ormaments I created this year. My grandson's favorite tale is "The Three Little Pigs', so I created some fun felt ornaments for his tree. Also I used the birds from my window as "live models" for my cardinals and blue jays!!Great fun!!!

Nutcracker Holiday Ornaments
Here are some of the holiday ornaments I made this year using felt. I like to work with felt and I even paint it and have fun embellishing it with jewels and trim.
My granddaughter, Isabella and I have a special Nutcracker bond and I truly enjoyed making her these special ornaments.
